🌍 What You’ll Experience
Summit Ridge Walks – After a steady climb, hikers reach the top of the northern ridge with sweeping 360° views across Majakaneng, the Magaliesberg range, and surrounding bushveld.
South African War History – Along the ridges, hikers can see stone fortifications built by British forces during the Anglo-Boer War (1900–1902), giving the trail a rich historical dimension.
Kloof & Forest Descent – The trail then drops into a shaded wooded kloof, with a spring-fed stream, indigenous trees, and diverse birdlife. This section is cooler and more peaceful after the open ridge walk.
Cultural & Spiritual Landmarks – Certain areas of the kloof are regarded as sacred sites by the local community, offering hikers moments for reflection and deeper cultural connection.
